Meet the Fenix Battery Recycling Directors and Operational Management Team.

NEIL MUTTOCK

CHAIRMAN

Neil is experienced in the effective management and commercialisation of new technologies, intellectual property audits and strategies. His particular focus is start-ups and fast-growing companies.  

Neil has an MBA and is a chartered mechanical engineer, European patent attorney and registered UK patent agent.

Neil is also experienced in waste management and recycling technologies, renewable energy, sustainable technologies, oil and gas, electronics, and telecoms as well as consumer products.

Specialism: Effective managing and commercialisation of new technologies.

DAMIAN LAMBKIN

CEO

Damian is a well known environmental business entrepreneur and has been starting up, running and upscaling companies for the last 22 years.

The creator of one of the first WEEE Compliance Scheme in the UK and one of the country’s first WEEE re-use facilities, as well as plastics recycling and brokerage. A merger saw Damian working for a period as a senior executive to one of the UK’s largest multi-regime compliance schemes. Damian has an in-depth knowledge of compliance and recycling globally and regularly attends international recycling events as a guest and speaker. 

Specialisms: Extended producer responsibility, recycling, innovation and technology, remote working, and remote management, change management and project management.

Andrew Gibson

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Andrew has been in the waste and recycling industry for the last 20 years.

Andrew is a fully qualified level 4 WAMITAB and holds a diploma in Waste Management Operations, Managing Transfer of Hazardous Waste (SCQF 7) with experience in logistics, waste handling and transport.


Andrew joined the Fenix Battery Recycling Team in 2021 and has proven to be a valuable asset to our company.

Isabel Knight

Director of Finance and Investment

Isabel is a multi-disciplined, professional, with extensive experience in developing people, business strategy, property development and international finance. Her speciality is working with fast growing companies to create sustainable high-growth businesses.

Isabel has an Environmental Economics degree from UCL and a Masters in Finance from London Business School. 

Prior to living in France for 16 years, Isabel worked as an international Fund Manager and was Director at Credit Suisse Asset Management responsible for $500million of assets invested in listed and unlisted companies in EMEA. 

Isabel has started, and worked in start up companies for the past 18 years and has trained as a personal and business coach

Specialisms: Investment finance, strategic thinking, focus, ability to coach and create high performance teams, adaptability.

Jeremy Stewart

DIRECTOR OF COMPLIANCE

Jeremy is based at our Kilwinning site and has been in the waste, battery recycling and re-use of electronics industry for the last 24 years.

Jeremy is a Chartered Waste Manager by the Chartered Institute of Waste Managers, holds various NEBOSH qualified and working towards level 5 British Safety Council diploma, as well as a CPC for transport management.

Jeremy’s role in the company is to keep all of our company records accurate and up to date as well as performing due diligence checks on not just us, but our downstream and customer sites ensuring Fenix Battery Recycling is fully compliant.

ROHAN WILLS

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

Rohan is our latest addition to the Fenix Battery Recycling team.

Rohan’s role as Business Development Executive is to assist our clients in finding the most effective solution to help fulfill their recycling requirements.

Having worked for Airbus whilst studying at Plymouth University for a degree in Business economics, Rohan is helping to bring a new approach to client relationships and management.
